WELCOME NEW AND RETURNING CADET PARENTS TO OUR 2026-2027 PROGRAM YEAR!
At the AGM that was in May, there was not a lot of changes with the Branch. Here is the Branch for the 2026-2027 program year:
Amanda Hall – President
Yvette Gogowich – Vice President
Jennifer Geddes – Treasurer
Christine Bugyra – Secretary
Lei Gryshik – Director at Large
Nadia Bit – Director at Large
Angela Sharp – Director at Large
Chantal McKenzie – Director at Large
If you have not yet – you will get a chance to meet all of us at the parent meeting happening on September 23. More information to come.
PLEASE NOTE: The Navy League program is always looking for adult volunteers. The more volunteers they have, the more cadets and opportunities they can welcome into their program. No previous cadet/officer experience needed. If you’re passionate about helping young people succeed, consider joining us as a volunteer. See the link for why to become an volunteer for “Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders”

The branch also welcomes additional help to serve on various fundraising committee’s or to help with accounting, screening, website management, etc. If you are interested, please contact Jen Geddes via the Contact Page.
As a Navy League and/or Sea Cadet parent, it is your responsibility is to keep updated. We send out multiple forms of communication to our parents, but at the end of the day – you must read them!
- The Commanding Officers and Branch President will be sending emails weekly (usually Monday). If you are not receiving them, please let us or them know to add you to the email communications list.
- If you have not already, go to facebook.com and like your cadet’s respective Corps page:

- And our Branch Page: https://www.facebook.com/NLOCStonyPlainBranch
If there are ever any issues that the parents need to talk to someone about, please know that this is one of the main reasons that our branch exists.
Branch policy is to acknowledge phone calls and/or emails with a 24–48-hour period during a weekday. Please remember that we all volunteer our time and have full time jobs away from cadets, so delays happen but we do our utmost to minimize those.
Looking forward to the 2026 – 2027 program year.
“Cadets ready. Parents ready. Let’s set sail!”
